This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Kroger and DiMe Media. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
I think that we can all agree that it’s never truly Christmas in a Latin household until mama makes the pozole! Today I’m partnering with Kroger and DiMe Media to share their recipe for probably one of the most traditional Holiday meals in the Latin community: pozole.
I’ll admit, being in the kitchen is intimidating for me at times, but pozole is such a traditional Mexican dish so I know it’s something I can’t avoid not making for too long. This year I was challenged by MiKroger to share the tradition of great food in my own household to make my own batch. For me, the trickiest part in cooking is all of the prep-work that goes into it. Between having to chop up and measure every single ingredient to making sure everything is cooked correctly, I’ll be the first to say that I just have no idea what I’m doing in the kitchen.
I was so thankful that Kroger laid it all out for me with a simple recipe, and that they challenged me to take it to the #MiKroger Summit. I am so glad I got to share my passion for delicious food and that I got to meet so many new faces. My favorite thing was being brought together with our love for food.
It just makes me happy to find all the ingredients in one place! Kroger has everything I need for Holiday grocery shopping because staying home during the break means having to serve my family breakfast, lunch and dinner. Luckily, pozole is the perfect meal to serve for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
