Learning On the GO!

One of the things that I love most about Zara is that she is so willing to learn and is constantly asking questions. Her brain is just so hungry for knowledge! I can only speak for myself, but there are times where trying to get things done with a toddler by your side 24/7 can be pretty difficult. We are busier than ever with trying to get her to school on time and with me trying to check off as much as I can off my to-do list… so when she has a spare moment and I just have to sit down and answer emails, I’m so glad she can spend it on the Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Edition tablet.

Now I’m not the kind of mama who will just hand their toddler any electronic device just to keep them quiet, but if I do happen to hand her a device I want to make sure that she’s not just surfing the internet or being exposed to things that aren’t age appropriate. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Edition tablet is not only a form of entertainment, but serves as a fun way to keep her mind stimulated and educate her in the process.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Edition tablet comes with a YEAR of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited and it has been such a great tool to access some of the fun apps and videos that are all kid friendly, as well as books that I can read to her for bed time! I can even program it to shut down for the night in case she gets tempted to play on it.

Because Zara is officially in school, we have her in full-on learning mode! Knowing she can learn at school and on the go in a fun manner with all the educational apps that come with FreeTime Unlimited, is just such a relief.

My Favorite Features (as a Mom):

  • Parental Controls. This is so big for me! Not only can I monitor her usage from a distance (because let’s face it, no one likes a helicopter mom), but I can set the time limits on the Parental Dashboard! I can also set her tablet to block entertainment apps until she has reached her daily learning goals.
  • One FREE year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Having this tablet in FreeTime Unlimited mode gives me such a great comfort as a mother. It not only has a setting for Zara to play, read, and watch videos on but it also has a ton of Unlimited features for adults too. So far, her favorites include: The ABC’s of Cookies and Dinosaur Train!
  • The case. It’s scary enough letting Z hold my phone, much less a tablet! So having a nice, spongy case with a good grip is an absolute must for this tablet and I’m so thankful the Fire Tablet Kids Edition comes with it! So she can drop it, splash water on it, and touch it with her sticky toddler finger and I won’t have a panic attack while she’s doing so.
