Here’s a fun fact about me: I’ve always been a fan of live sports! In fact, it was one of my favorite things about cheering on the sidelines throughout junior high and high school. Not only could I dance around and have fun, but I got to see these people play with all their heart and win the game. So when Dallas Wings invited me out to go see them play, I couldn’t resist going!
Because the DFW is never short with things to do on the weekends, it is always surprising me! It was such a joy getting to take Zara and my family to my Alma Mater the University of Texas at Arlington, and I loved seeing all the updates to the campus. Watching these women play at their best with my family was such a great way to introduce the great sport of basketball to her, and not to mention a fun summer activity!
The first thing we did was get snacks, because you just can’t watch a game without having a snack to munch on and a drink to sip on. This particular night was Celebrando Las Wings, so we got to cherish our Latin heritage which was so nice!
My nephew, Jonathan, joined in on the fun with us. The crowd was energetic and the half time show was so entertaining! Of course it helped that the game was just so good. Both teams were going head to head the entire time and since the opposing team was always ahead by like 2 points, which just made the fans even more excited!
There is plenty of time to check out Dallas Wings this season in their new venue at UTA! Make sure you give them a follow on Instagram and support this amazing women’s basketball team! It makes for such an amazing experience and family adventure.
Dallas Wings provided me with tickets and compensation. The opinions I have shared about this experience are my own.
