Folklore Baby & Kids provided me with product, and the opinions I have shared are my own.
Mother’s Day is coming up and it’s the special time of year that I like to reflect on the joys and the mishaps of motherhood in the past year. But mostly, I love it because it reminds me that I am here for her to share my own culture and traditions.
There are a lot of joys that come with blogging, but working alongside women-owned businesses and shops is what I live for! Folklore Baby & Kids is a local women and kids line whose focus is not only to represent the beauty of the Latin culture, but giving back to the communities that influenced their own upbringing. Both Gisa and Susana have made it their mission to donate a portion of each purchase towards an Ecofiltro water purifying system to help improve the lives of low income families with the gift of clean water!
I styled my Boneci Tunic with my favorite mom jeans and block heel sandals. Lately I’ve been all about this combo, so adding this tunic just seems like the most natural way to dress it up. I love that I can wear it and know that it was made with care and with love in every stitch and detail. When I wore this, she told me that I looked like the sun, and I thought that was such a high compliment. I chose this color because I thought it was bold and beautiful, which is what I want Zara to aspire to be. But it comes in all sorts of colors and embroidery, too.
I love what a strong, little woman Zara is becoming, and seeing the changes happen in her as she grows gives me so much pride! She’s smart, beautiful, and empowered… All the things a girl should be! She’s wearing her Muyal Cover-Up tucked into her Itzia embroidered skirt. The literal translation for Itzia is ‘Strong Princess’, and I can’t think of a more appropriate name and what to affirm that courageous spirit in her!
